The handles are sewn on the inside, so there’s no bulk getting in the way when my dog really clamps down. That thick leather has held up through some serious tug sessions without a single fray, and the two-handle design makes it easy for both of us to get a solid grip.
Even though it's only 8 inches, the double handles give me a solid grip for a good game of tug, and the inside stitching has held up perfectly against some serious pulling. The leather is thick enough that I don't worry about it tearing any time soon.
